Season:

Our season runs December through mid-May. Practice are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Games on Saturdays. All practices and most home games are held at Wilder Field in Orinda. Once you are registered you will get updates from your coach or team parent with practice and game times and locations.

League:

Lamo Rugby is a core member of the Bay Conference in Rugby Norcal, Premier League. The Rugby Norcal Men’s High School Premier League is the top division in USA rugby and is comprised of the some of the best HS Men’s teams in the United States.

Spring Break Tour:

Each year the Varsity team travels together to explore new cultures and play local teams. Past tours have taken the club to Ireland, Italy, England, Scotland,

Argentina and Hawaii.

The tour destination for 2020 is Spain and Portugal.

New Players Welcome!

We welcome all levels of players from those that have never played before to those that have been playing for many years. All our coaches are skilled, experienced and most are Rugby Norcal and USA Rugby certified. Rugby is a game for all shapes and sizes.

There is a position for every body type as long as you have heart, character and a

strong work ethic.

Teams:

We run a Frosh/Soph team (JV) and two Varsity sides. Upper classman who are new to the sport typically start on the developmental Varsity side and have the ability to contend for starting roles on the A side as their skills and game awareness develop.

Equipment needed to play:

Mouth-guard, club practice jersey, rugby shorts, club socks, cleats, Lamo warm-ups and a Lamo gear bag. You can wear Rugby cleats, Soccer cleats or Football cleats with the toe cleat removed. Dress in layers of synthetics for training.

YOU CAN PLAY COLLEGIATE RUGBY!

Most Lamo Rugby Alumni play rugby in college while several have gone on to play professionally and for the USA Eagles! Rugby can also provide and “in” to your top choice colleges from Ivy League to Pac 12 D1.
